“Millions of families like mine live with the debilitating pain of migraine on a daily basis, but migraine research has lacked for funding and support for far too long. By helping research scientists discover the root causes of migraine and determine how to treat them, the Migraine Research Foundation hopes that everyone who suffers from migraine will eventually have an effective treatment that they can count on to allow them to live a healthy, happy and productive life.”
- Stephen Semlitz, co-founder of the Foundation and
Chairman of the Board
The Migraine Research Foundation is the only nonprofit organization dedicated solely to migraine research in the United States.
Assisting MRF is a distinguished Medical Advisory Board that includes leading neurologists and scientists from across the country.
MRF awarded nearly $200,000 in
grants in 2007 and plans to announce the 2008 awards shortly.
